Ollie Lett Jr.

Ollie Lett, Jr., 84, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, February 17, 2022, in the Canonsburg Hospital.

He was born May 6, 1937, in VanVoorhis, a son of Ollie and Gladys Brown Lett.

Ollie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne, from December 1955 to December 1958.

He had worked as an aid at the former Western Center, was a member of the former Canon Lodge #186 IBPOE of W.

Mr. Lett loved his camera and taking photos, he also enjoyed throwing darts.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Patterson Lett, with whom he’s been with for 51 years; a daughter, Renda Patterson (Fred) of Canonsburg; two grandchildren, Devin and Brandi Patterson; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Brooklynn Patterson; two brothers, Eugene Lett of Sacramento, Calif., and Douglas Prime of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Geraldine Flemming of Washington and Shirley Mae Paige of Anniston, Ala.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Robert and William Lett.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, with Rev. L. B. Whitlock officiating.

Interment will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Full military rites will be accorded by the Honor Guard of VFW Post #191 in Canonsburg.
