June A. Leeper
June A. Leeper, 85, of Burton, formerly of Mentor, passed away Monday, February 15, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born October 25, 1936, in North Bethlehem, to the late Wray and Martha Miller Clutter.
She graduated from Bentleyville High School in 1954 and received her nursing license from the Washington Hospital School of Nursing in 1958.
June married the love of her life, Robert E. Leeper, June 27, 1958.
She was a registered nurse and supervisor for Lake West Hospital and retired in 1985, and then worked for Heather Hill Nursing Home retiring in 2004.
June liked sewing, making her children’s clothing, crafts and reading. She collected Depression glass and would love going to estate sales and flea markets, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, traveling and camping. She also loved her dogs that she called her fur babies.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert; daughters, Robyn Leeper, Wendy Leeper, Christy Leeper, Marci Leeper; son, Bob Leeper; five grandchildren, Ken (Heidi) Simonyi, Ashley McMillan, Erica (Troy) Tesseo, Justin (Heidi Spohn) Leeper, Liam (Alicia) Johnston; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Simonyi, Brentley Simonyi, Julieann Cotton, Tobias Tesso, Sicily Tesso and Darrell Leeper. She will also be missed by her sisters, Patricia Dawson and Martha Rae Johnston.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Riskey and Mauva Richey.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
