Catherine R. Pallett, 74, of Washington, died Sunday, February 20, 2022, in the Washington Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born October 29, 1947, in Waynesburg, the daughter of the late Paul F. and Dorothy D. Sprowls Thompson.

Catherine was a 1966 graduate of Trinity High School.

She devoted the majority of her life to being a full time mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In her free time she enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, and photography.

Her greatest passion however, was spoiling her grandbabies and her great-grandbabies.

She was married over 45 years to Harry C. Pallett, before his death in 2012.

Surviving are a son, Paul M. “Jake” Pallett, of Washington; a daughter, Susan R. (Jamie) Hafer, of Meadow Lands; a brother, Paul “Bud” (Rose Marie) Thompson, of McMurray; four grandchildren, Jessica (Shawn) Chatman-Carroll, Corryna (Eric Carrell) Chatman, Reginal Wooley II and Sahara Zielinski; nine great-grandchildren and one more on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

All services are private and entrusted to Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, Douglas M. Jones, supervisor, Dr. Lawrence K. Donovan, director.
