Bill Morrow
William Grover “Bill” Morrow II, 68, of Crescent City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, Fla., following an extended illness.
Bill was born in Waynesburg, and, coming from St. Augustine, Fla., had been a resident of Putnam County, Fla., for the past seven years, first living in Pomona Park, Fla., and later in Crescent City.
He was a 1971 graduate of the Trinity High School in Washington, and furthered his education at Penn State University and Allegheny College. A musician by trade, he enjoyed running cross country in high school, golfing, skiing, and his music. His family was special to him, including his nieces and nephews.
He had been an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for the past 40 years. Bill earned great respect and lifelong friendships through his years of sponsorships. He had also been an active member of his churches in Washington, and St. Augustine.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Grover Morrow; and a sister, Jeanne Morrow.
Surviving are his mother, Bonnie J. Morrow; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Cheryl Morrow; a sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Dr. Jim Krebs; nieces and a nephew, Amber, Courtney, Nicole and Greg; and seven great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service, in Bill’s memory, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, February 28, in Masters Funeral Home in Palatka, Fla., with Pastor Willie McKinnon III officiating.
