Helen R. Wise, 91, of Daisytown, died Wednesday February 23, 2022, in her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born August 18, 1930, in Centerville Borough, a daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Tocilowska Kuczykowski.
Mrs. Wise had been a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, bingo, and spending time with her family. She also had been a lifelong member of the Garwood Baptist Church and had been a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are three children, Roberta Stone (John Jr.) of Daisytown, Robert A. Wise Jr. of Centerville, Valarie Axton (Eugene Sr.) of Daisytown; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Wise was the last of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Wise Sr.; five brothers, Mike, Chester and Edward Kuczykowski, Stanley Koskey and Tony Koskey, who died in action during World War II; also deceased are three sisters, Jae Rakoski, Nora Dunseath Kancir and Vee Williams.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 25, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, with Pastor Larry Coltura officiating. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, West Pike Run Township.
