Evelyn D. Brandenburg
Evelyn D. Brandenburg, 90, of Avella, died on Friday, December 31, 2021 in Evergreen Assisted Living, Washington.
She was born on June 19, 1931 in Washington, daughter of the late John and Alta Winters Kirschner.
Mrs. Brandenburg was a 1949 graduate of Avella High School.
She was a lifelong resident of Avella and a member of the Avella Presbyterian Church, and Cross Creek Valley Senior Citizens.
On September 12, 1953, she married Robert D. Brandenburg, who died August 14, 2016.
Surviving Mrs. Brandenburg are two sons, Robert D. (Maryann) Brandenburg of Avella, Alan D. (Carol) Brandenburg of Avella; a daughter, Lisa D. (Jerry) Richards of Weirton, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Katherine, Brittany Lynn, Kimberly, Jamie, Ashley and Jerry; five great- grandchildren, Devin, Piper, Logan, Orion and Freyja; two brothers, John D. (Rosemary) Kirschner of Avella, Marvin E. (Fran) Kirschner of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Darla (the late, John) Myers of Avella and Marlene (Tom) Uryga of Spokane, Wash.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents is a brother, Kenneth Kirschner.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 3, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home, Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312, where services will be held at noon on Tuesday, January 4, with Pastor Jim Rhodes officiating.
Burial will be in West Point Cemetery, Avella.
