Salvadore “Mr. C” Cargnoni, 96, of Bridgeville, passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Beloved husband for 70 years of Doris J. Grassi Cargnoni, loving father of Jack (Dawn Taylor) Cargnoni, and Jim (Monique) Cargnoni, brother of the late Pete (Josephine) Cargnoni and Jim Cargnoni and his wife Pat, who survives. Also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Cargnoni was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He was the founding father of Independent Enterprise in 1973, along with his two sons, as well as Collier Development (Real Estate), Trader Jack’s Flea Market and Jet Jack. He worked as an accountant and estimator in the family businesses.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Ricci Minella, Dr. Frank Civatrese and Dr. Lou Civatrese for the loving care they provided.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at Holy Child Parish, with the Rev. Carmen D’Amico as celebrant.
