Betty Grace Loar Anderson
Betty Grace Loar Anderson, 79, of Washington, died Thursday, January 6, 2022, in Presbyterian Senior Care, Southmont, where she has resided for the last several years.
She was born June 13, 1942, in Washington, a daughter of the late Dock and Leah Mae Barr Loar. She was a 1960 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School, and then went on to earn her Associate’s Degree from Penn Commercial.
She worked for over 30 years at the Washington Hospital before her retirement in 2000.
She was a longtime member of Zollarsville Methodist Church until its closing. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. Betty Grace loved going to the beach, especially with her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (John) McMurray; granddaughter, Kathy McMurray; niece, Jane (Bill) Kyluck; great-niece, Kristin (Jason) Stickley; great-nephews, Aaron (Nicole) Kyluck, and Kurt (Fallon) Kyluck; great-great-nephew, Cooper Stickley; and great-great-nieces, Chloe and Sierra Kyluck.
Deceased in addition to her parents, are a brother, George Barr Loar; sister, Madge Mihalek; beloved great-great-nephew, Cody Stickley.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on January 12, 2022, with Rev. Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Scenery Hill.
