Revis Scott Fowler
Revis Scott Fowler, 70, of Chartiers Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 3, 2022.
He was born January 21, 1951, in Searcy, Alaska, a son of the late Cephus and Nancy Fletcher Fowler, of Horseshoe Bend, Alaska.
Mr. Fowler earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harding University in Searcy, Alaska.
He was a member of Washington Church of Christ, where he served as a Deacon. Scott loved to sing and led the congregational singing at his church, and also led singing at Southpoint Church of Christ. He also enjoyed singing all of the Beatles’ songs, knew all of the lyrics, and enjoyed Pink Floyd.
Fairmont Supply in Washington employed him for 25 years in their Purchasing and Receiving department until 2000. He was also the owner and operator of S&S Mowing and landscaping for more than 20 years, and loved being outside and cutting grass.
On September 23, 2017, he married Leona Beiswenger Gibbons Fowler, who resides in Chartiers Township.
Surviving is a daughter, Kristin (Ron) Crawford, of Washington; a son, Robert Shane Fowler, of Canonsburg; and a brother, Ricky (Denise) Fowler, of Ash Flats, Ark.. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Alex, Aubry, Aahlyn, Addison and Alain; and three step-sons, Dennis (Jenn) Gibbons, of Washington, Brett (Brandy), Gibbons of Aurora, Colo., and Gregg Gibbons of Aurora, Colo..
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marty Fowler; and his first wife, Cynthia Lee Henderson Fowler.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in Church of Christ, at 700 Allison Avenue, in Washington. A memorial service will be held immediately following the gathering at 12 p.m. Wednesday, with Pastor David Deagle officiating. Interment will be held in Washington Cemetery at a later date.
