Dennis Arnold Prout
Dennis Arnold Prout, 72, of Washington, died on Monday, January 10, 2022, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born June 23, 1949, in Philadelphia, a son of the late Charles and Eleanor Pentoney Prout.
A Vietnam veteran, Mr. Prout served in the Army, from September 16, 1966, until his honorable discharge on September 15, 1969, with a rank of Specialist-5.
He worked in security at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Surviving are his wife, Davidine Kern Prout; three sons, James Prout of Florida, Charles Prout of Monessen, and David Prout of Burgettstown; two step-children, Jennifer Cool of Hanover, and Timothy Sirk of York; two brothers, Lionel (Nancy) Prout, of Texas, and Ronald (Peggy) Prout, of York; four sisters, Ruth Long of Industry, Irene Harvey of Littlestown, Donna Pritt of Littlestown, and Dora Edwards of York; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Wilson Ferguson; and two sisters, Jean Trent and Eileen Sentz.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, and from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, January 14, the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Philip Pace officiating. Burial in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private.
