E. Ward Reighard, 90, of McMurray, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022.

He was the beloved husband of Elsie Mae Weirich Reighard; loving father of Ken and Karl; and proud grandfather of Elizabeth (Aaron) Williamson, and Sarah, Caleb and Eli Reighard.

The only son of the late Francis W. and Claire H. Reighard, of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and his two sisters, Frances Louise Brincken and Audrey Jane Reighard.

He is survived by his sons; grandchildren; nephews James and Joel Brincken; and by many cherished friends.

Ward had a lifelong involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, first as a Scout in Troop 4 of Washington, then with his years as a leader with both Troop 1320 and Troop 1331 in McMurray, and from there he went on to serve the greater Scouting organization through multiple positions until the end of 2013.

He was a member of the Masons for more than 50 years, serving there through several positions at both the Sunset and McMurray Lodges, and as a member of the Knights Templar. He was also an active member of the George Washington Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Ward also had a love of photography, music, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and, above all, modeling the Pennsylvania Railroad in HO scale.

Friends received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray. A Masonic Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, at Faith Community Church Lakeside, 337 Waterdam Road, McMurray. Interment in Washington Cemetery.
