Angela Sue Baker
Angela Sue Baker, 57, of Nemacolin, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in Excela Hospital, Latrobe.
Angela was born June 21, 1964, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Patricia Ann Wilson Hewitt of Carmichaels and the late Paul Edward Hewitt.
Angela is survived by her husband, Derek AK Baker Sr. of Nemacolin; two children, Derek Baker Jr. (Jaclyn Faussette), of Washington and Shane Anthony Baker (Haley Booze) of Nemacolin; one brother, Paul Hewitt (Judy) of Nemacolin; two sisters, JoAnne Uphold of Nemacolin and Susan Lewis (Tim) of Millsboro; 10 grandchildren, Brianne, Haven, Brayden, Maddilyn, Bryce, Aiden and Keoni Baker, Cassandra and Lexi Smith, and Ava Lacerda; three sisters-in-law, Sharon Chun, Donna Long (Steve) and Colleen Kalist (Gary); two brothers-in-law, Robert Hendricks (Loretta) and Donald Lopes. Also, many nieces and nephews, who adored her.
Deceased, in addition to her father, are a sister, Tresa Hewitt; mother-in-law, Shirley Baker; father-in-law, Albert Baker; brothers-in-law, Robert Uphold Jr., Earl Chun; and sister-in-law, Darlene Lopes.
She was a 1983 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and attended Uniontown Beauty Academy.
Angela worked as a deli clerk at Shop n Save for many years. She was a talented artist and enjoyed baking and crafts.
She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, meme and aunt. She had such an impact on the lives of many children. She always made them feel special and loved. She served as a teacher for many years at Glad Tidings in the Children’s Church. Many lives were touched by her kindness and love.
She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, McClellandtown.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of a service, Wednesday January 19, in Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Route 21, Masontown. Reverend Bruce Theakstone and Timothy Tanner officiating.
