Dianne Elizabeth Henderson Woodward
Dianne Elizabeth Henderson Woodward passed into God’s Holy hands on the evening of Thursday, November 18, 2021.
She was born March 13, 1941, in Washington, the fourth child of the late Chester V. Henderson and Dorothy E. Washington.
Dianne grew up in Washington and lived there until she was 20 years old. She attended 6th Ward Elementary School K-7th grade and Washington High School, 8th through 12th grade, graduating in 1959.
Dianne showed an interest in styling and taking care of her hair, as well as the hair of her cousins and friends. Her brother, Bernie invited her to move to California to attend the Licensed and Accredited College of Cosmetology, in Compton, Calif. She won several awards for her styling prowess. Upon graduation, Dianne passed the required State of California exams and earned her State License as a Cosmetologist.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Gerald; daughter, Laurel; brother, Bernard Henderson (Patricia); numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins in California, Washington, PA, and New York; brother-in-law, Greg Woodward (Belita); sisters-in-law, Myra Hullfish, Sharon Raynor (Ernest) and Pamela Henderson.
