Louise P. Tonti
Louise P. Tonti, 95, of Canonsburg, passed away, peacefully, Tuesday, January 19, 2022, in TownView Health and Rehab Center in Canonsburg. She was born November 10, 1928, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Luigi and Jennie Dapice Martino.
Louise lived in the Canonsburg, Strabane and Houston area her entire life, where she was a devoted member of St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed as a cook at the former Jefferson Room in Canonsburg.
On July 12, 1952, she married Albert Tonti, who passed away January 19, 1976, exactly 46 years earlier.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved children: son, Alfred Tonti and wife Marsha of Houston, and daughter, Charla Wright and husband Ralph of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren, Shelby Tonti, Zachary (Devon) Tonti, Hannah Wright and Elliot Wright; two great-grandchildren, Theo and Hayley Tonti; and several nieces and nephews. Louise was the last of here immediate family.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are five brothers, Joseph, Jerry, John and Albert Martino; and six sisters, Laura Venci, Lucy Christ, Sue Reneri, Thelma Bruno, Helen Polochak and Viola Veres.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, January 24, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, Erin E. Jones LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, following by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
