Terrance M. Griffith Sr.
Terrance M. Griffith Sr., 85, of Houston, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 22, 2022, in the Donnell House, Washington. He was born April 7, 1935, in Washington, a son of the late Willis Griffith and Helen Barnes Griffith Fordyce.
Mr. Griffith was a member of the Houston United Methodist Church in Houston, where he had lived for most of his life.
He was a machinist with Acme Machine in Canonsburg and had been employed for many years at Pat’s Hallmark in the payroll and maintenance departments.
He enjoyed crossword puzzles, Jeopardy and, in his younger days, motorcycles.
On September 24, 1956, he married his devoted wife, Neva Phillips, who survives after 65 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Clayton Griffith of Houston, Harold Griffith and wife Lori Lee of Houston, Susan Hiles and husband Kendall of New Hill, N.C., and Todd Griffith and wife Tracy of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Roger (Heather) Griffith, Jodi (Mike) Feidler, Daniel (Brenda) Griffith, Nicole (Michael) Bianco, Spencer Hiles, Katie (Matthew) Wilfong and Jessica Griffith (William Cass); along with eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Griffith was the last of his immediate family. Deceased, in addition to his parents and stepparents, is one son, Terrance “T.” Griffith Jr.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner / supervisor, Erin E. Jones, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 26. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
