Glen B. Anderson

Glen B. Anderson, 92, of Hanover Township, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Weirton (W.Va.) Geriatric Center.

He was born January 11, 1930, in Spring Hill Township, son of the late John Thomas “Tom” and Ruby F. Isaminger Anderson.

He is also preceded in death by brother, Paul Anderson; and sister, Virginia Tharp.

Glen was a member of Paris Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Trustee, Deacon and Usher. He was U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Korean War. He retired from Weirton Steel Corporation as a pipe fitter in the Tin Mill.

Glen is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie Ruth Husk Anderson; children, Glenda Virtue (Jack), Gerald Anderson (Cindy), Gordon Anderson (Betsy) and Gloria Kimball (Delbert); nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Cook.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Tuesday February 1, 2022, at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, W.Va., with Reverend Dr. Christina Hosler presiding.

Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Burgettstown, with Military Honors rendered by American Legion Post No. 10 Honor Guard.

Glen’s family would like to thank the staff of Weirton Geriatric Center for the care provided.

The family kindly requests that masks be worn during visitation and service.
