Edward James Banko

Edward James Banko, 82, of Southview, was reunited with the love of his life on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

He was born April 30, 1940 in Washington, son of the late Edward and Helen Zylo Banko.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church, Cecil. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, cutting grass, caring for his animals and spending time with family. He lived his life providing and caring for his wife and his three daughters, and later became the best Pap Pap to his precious grandchildren.

He worked as a Production Scheduler for McGraw Edison then Cooper Industries in Canonsburg for 32 years. He then went back to school and graduated from Penn Commercial and worked at Fairmont Supply until retirement.

Surviving are three daughters, Sheri Kitzmiller of Southview, Tracey Mastic-Miller (Mike Miller) of Washington, and Maria (Greg) Pond of Southview; six grandchildren, Jack and Sophie Kitzmiller, Robby Mastic, Angie Miller, Isabella and Evan Pond.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Banko in 2013; and a brother at birth.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6.

Interment will follow in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Canonsburg.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Co. 106 Main St, Hickory, PA 15340.
