Jack F. Rush Sr.

Jack F. Rush Sr., 76, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Bentleyville passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 in Havencrest Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Monongahela.

He was born August 24, 1945 in Washington, a son of the late Kenneth R. and Gertrude Grimes Rush.

Mr. Rush was a 1962 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Jack was employed as a cook at Eat N Park in McMurray for over 10 years, Jimmy’s Restaurant also in McMurray and various other local restaurants over the years.

He was a member of Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church, ABATE Washington and the former Bentleyville Eagles.

Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycling, cooking, baking and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are three children: Jack F. Rush Jr. of Ventura, Calif., Raymond L. Rush (Jessica) of Clarksville, and Margaret “Tinky” Rush Wiltrout (Troy) of Belle Vernon; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Graffius, Samantha Langer, Trevor Rush, Makayla Molinaro, Isiah Caster, Kylie Caster, Arastasia Linton-Rush, Gavin Linton-Rush, R.J. Rogers and Andrew Wiltrout; five great-grandchildren; one nephew Kenneth; one niece Nancy.

Deceased in addition to his parents is a son, Robert W. Rush; and three sisters.

Friends will be received from 12 to 7 p.m., the time of service, on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in the Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, with Pastor John Dykstra and Pastor Larry Wiltrout officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contribution be made to the Greenlee Funeral Home.
