Eugene J. Spiker
Eugene J. “Gene” Spiker, 81, of Houston passed away peacefully Sunday July 3, 2022, in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center Canonsburg.
He was born April 27, 1941, in Washington a son of the late Jacob and Sarah Dunn Spiker.
Gene lived his life in Houston and was a member of the Houston United Presbyterian Church and had attended Chartiers Houston High School. He drove truck for many years and moved to warehouse work prior to his retirement in 2013 from Fairmont Supply company, where he never missed a day of work in his 46 years of employment.
He loved westerns, music and oldies and especially enjoyed times with his late wife Joyce Wylie Spiker who he married September 19, 1964. She sadly passed away on November 27, 2015, after 51 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish his memory are his devoted children Darren E. Spiker and his wife Robin of Houston and Dana M Rusin and her companion Walt McNary of Houston, his brother David “Jake” Spiker and his wife Kathy of Houston, three grandchildren, Sabian Spiker, Nathan A. Daniels and Jaden L. Spiker, two great- grandchildren Kadance M. Spiker and Arabella J. Daniels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his wife and parents is his brother Carl Spiker and sisters Wilda Browell and Melissa Andrews.
Friends and family are welcome from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 7 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P.
