Mary A. Newland formerly of Apollo, and West Finely, passed away peacefully in her sleep in her son Melvin’s home in Bellaire, Ohio on July 2nd, 2022, at 94 years of age.

Mary was the daughter of Charles James Hollis and Mary Hilty.

She loved to cook, bake, garden, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary worked at Sparky’s Diner as a waitress/cook and later worked as a maid for Vince and his family at Elm Grove Terrace which she loved.

Visitation for Mary will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6 at Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323 724-663-7373

A funeral service will be on Thursday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mary had three son’s and two daughter’s that passed before her William Neff (2002), Danny Neff (2004), and Rev. Halsey Neff (2001); along with her sister’s, Agnes Hollis and Dorothy Hollis who also precede her in death.

She leaves behind five children and lots of grandchildren.
