Henry S. Salamon
Henry S. “Jr” Salamon, 62, of Washington, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 3, 2022, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born November 6, 1959, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Henry G. and Anne Martinsky Salamon.
Jr. was Roman Catholic by faith and a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School Class of 1978. He lived his life in Canonsburg and Washington and had been employed with Black Box in shipping.
Jr. was a member of the White Eagles Society, and the Polish National Union (PNU) among other organizations in the area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and especially loved riding his Harley Davidson.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Anna Faller and husband Michael of Pittsburgh, and Patrick Smoke of Canonsburg; his children’s mother, Tammy Smoke of Washington; three sisters, Colleen Yanosky of Canonsburg, Anna Salamon of Scott Township, and Cindy Salamon (Vickie Carpenter) of Eighty Four; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and all his Harley family and friends.
Friends and family are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a Catholic blessing service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be with his parents in St. Patrick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial contributions, in Mr. Salamon’s name, be made to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Avenue #1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, or a charity of one’s choice.
