Leonard Jay Beacom
Leonard “Lenny” Jay Beacom, 67, of Charleroi, formerly of Leechburg, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, Saturday, June 27, 2022. Lenny was born December 13, 1954, a son of Dorothy Huffman Beacom and the late Homer Leonard Beacom.
Christian by faith, Lenny belonged to the Christ Lutheran Church in Murrysville, and was a member of the American Legion Sons, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was an animal lover and an avid hunter. He was a Jeopardy fan, World War II history fan, and enjoyed listening to rock and roll music. Lenny will be remembered as a kind-hearted, sweet and loving husband who worked hard and always had time for his friends and family of whom he loved the most.
Surviving to cherish Lenny’s memory are his wife, Rosalie Beacom; his mother, Dorothy Beacom; and his daughters, Katherine (Brad Markley) Minerd and Tiffany (Edward) Fotta; his sister, Debbie (Dallas) Vandevort; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Michael, Jacob and Alexa.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 3 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Saturday, July 9, in the Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (formerly Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, PA 15022.
