Charles A. Sethman

Heaven was needing a Hero as Charles A. “Butch” Sethman, 72, of Hickory, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in VA- Oakland.

He was born December 6, 1949 in Westland, son of the late Charles E. and Betty V. Snedeker Sethman.

He was a member of Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club W-Chapter, American Legion Post 902 Houston, Canonsburg VFW 191, Westland Sportsman’s Club, Palanka Sportsman’s Association, Arden Athletic Club, and the Bears Club – Den 83 Meadowlands.

He enjoyed being at camp, fishing, was a great fan of fast cars and riding his motorcycle. He was a proud Veteran and advocated for other veterans.

He worked as a Truck Driver and maintenance man for Greif Brothers.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah Chabassol Sethman of Hickory; two sons, Shawn (Erin) Sethman of Imperial, and Scott Sethman of Houston; grandchildren, Halee, Alyssa, Delaney and Avery; and his baby girl dog, Ada; as well as many other relationships built solely on love.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 10 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022 with Pastor Stephen Thomas officiating.

Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township at 10 a.m. on July 14, 2022 with full military honors by the Canonsburg VFW 191 Honor Guard and U.S Army.
