James E. Wardle

It is with great sadness that the family of James E. “Jim” Wardle announces his peaceful passing in his home on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 82.

He was a retired steel worker from Cooper Power Systems in Canonsburg. But most of all he was the loving husband of the late Mary Ann Wardle for 62 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Lori Schiffhauer and husband, Scott, Christine Windsheimer and husband, Joseph, Jeffrey Wardle and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Rachel Fanshaw and husband, Steven, Eric Schiffhauer and wife, Margaret, Anthony Windsheimer and wife, Lluvia, Tyler Windsheimer and wife, Katie, Nathanael Wardle; great-grandchildren, Adrienne, Benjamin and Layla.

He is survived by his brother, Ronald Wardle and sister, Linda Pekrul; and numerous other family members.

Jim was a kind, patient and loving man who enjoyed spending time golfing, fishing, boating and spending time with his family.

There will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held on at 12 noon on Saturday, July 16th at Finleyville Cemetery. Following the service, a celebration of Jim’s life will be held at his home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Finleyville.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Concordia Hospice Care of Washington for their care of Jim during his time of need.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Concordia Hospice Care of Washington at 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
