Tony Grenci, 93, of Venice, Fla., formerly of McMurray, Rostraver Township and Bentleyville, died Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Venice.
He was born January 3, 1929, in Bentleyville, a son of Mary and Nicola Grenci. He graduated from Bentleyville High School with the Class of 1946. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Grenci retired in 1993 after 40 years of service at the General Motors (Fisher Body) stamping plant in West Mifflin. He was a member of United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 544 and the National Rifle Association.
He was a collector of all things pertaining to General Motors, Fisher Body and the UAW.
After retirement, he and his wife traveled to all 50 states, many European countries and destinations in Canada.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Gunter Grenci; a son, Anthony (Patti) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and two daughters, Kathleen (Ted) Finney of Venice, and Janice Grenci of Arlington, Va.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank; and two sisters, Libby Elliott and Kaye D’Amico.
Burial is private.
