James W. Horn
James W. “Jim” Horn, 61, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 9, 2022 in his home.
He was born December 6, 1960 in Washington, a son of William L. and Laura Jean Kilgore Horn, both of Washington.
Jim was a 1978 graduate of Washington High School and worked, at one time, as a flagger for Verizon. He was a former employee and longtime volunteer for the Washington City Mission.
He loved to hunt and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a son, James R. Horn of Washington; a daughter, Heather R. Horn of Washington; a brother, Ron Horn of Washington; two sisters, Jamie Horn of Cokeburg and Billie Jo Horn of Wheeling, W.Va.; five grandchildren: Tahjanae Bryant, Douglas Szolek, Jay’Dyn Winston, Zai’Dyn Horn and Riley Marianna; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Joshua R. Lowery and his former wife, Debra Szolek.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington.
Religious services will be announced.
All other services will be held at the convenience of the family.
