Sarah Andrews
Sarah “Blue Eyes” Andrews, 78, of Cecil Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, with her devoted family by her side. She was born October 5, 1943, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Louis Francis and Evelyn McChesney Hayman.
Sarah lived her life in the Henderson, Cecil area, was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and was a Protestant.
Prior to her retirement, Blue Eyes had been employed for 25 plus years at Mayview State Hospital.
She enjoyed camping and loved being with her family.
On November 8, 1969, she married her husband of 61 years, Kenneth “Toby” Andrews, who survives.
Also left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved sons, Kenneth J. Andrews (Vickey Jenkins) of Eighty-Four, Anthony “Tony” Andrews (Denise Janulewicz) of Cecil and Keith Andrews (Tracy Darnley) of Canonsburg; her brother, Harry (Betty Jo) Hayman of Hendersonville; sisters, Mina (David) Higgins of Canonsburg, Nancy Rush of Hendersonville, Debbie Neswald of Port Charlotte, Fla., Susie (Art) Martin of Derry, Donna Martin of Hendersonville, and Mary Lou (Edward) Cain of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Tim (Melissa Brownfield), Garrett, Alex, Anthony, Amber, Charlene, Lisa, Baileigh, Amanda Andrews and Aleasha McCarthy; and great-grandchildren, Penelope McCartney, Landen, Camden, Zayden, Arabella Andrews; along with several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are three brothers, Louis R. “Frog” Hayman, Wayne Francis Hayman and Kenneth Hayman.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 16, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 17. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
