Nicholas R. Ferrante
Nicholas R. Ferrante, 78, of Washington, passed away peacefully Friday, July 15, 2022, in his home, with his family by his side He was born December 30, 1943, in Trenton, N.J., a son of the late Ralph N. and Mary Tonti Ferrante.
Nick had been in the Washington area since 2001 and live most of his life in Bordentown, N.J., and graduated from Trenton Sr. High School.
He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, receiving the good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post and Fraternal Order of Elks in Bordentown.
He was Roman Catholic and had attended St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg.
Nick was a self-employed contractor owing Ferrante Construction until his retirement.
He enjoyed hunting, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren.
On February 11, 1978, he married his devoted wife, Cathann Gunn, who survives after 44 years of marriage.
Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Jeanne Marie Ferrante of Greenville, S.C., Mary Catherine (Eugene Jr.) Cardone of Chesterfield, N.J., Rocco Nicola (Jacquelyn) Ferrante of Lawrenceville, N.J., and Caitlin Alexa Maceiko, also of Lawrenceville; his dear sister, Marie Ferrante of Washington; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two children, Nicholas Ralph Ferrante and Antionette Marie Ferrante; and his brother, Ralph Nicholas Ferrante Jr.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at noon Tuesday, July 19, in St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Please meet in church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Trenton, N.J.
