Barbara J. Baughman, 88, of Eighty Four, died Monday, July 18, 2022, in Country Meadows Retirement Community, Bridgeville.

She was born April 6, 1934, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late William J. and Charlotte Williams Coe.

Barbara was a graduate of McKeesport High School. In 1957, she graduated from Duquesne University, where she studied Instrumental Music Education.

She started her teaching career in Trinity Area School District elementary schools, then moved to Washington School District. Eventually she joined the faculty at W.E.E.P. school, where she taught until she retired.

While music was her greatest passion, she also loved cats, horses, chickens, and dogs of all kinds.

Barbara was a devoted member of The Church of the Covenant, where she sang in the choir and played drums for special events.

On June 10, 1957, in White Oak, she married the love of her life, Leonard T. Baughman, who died April 26, 1993.

Surviving are a son, Paul (Darlene Schultz) Baughman, of Eighty Four; two daughters, Sharon (Josh) Geldrich of Pittsburgh and Paige (Eric) Cuccaro of Boqueron, Puerto Rico; a sister, Leah (Ronald) Seabol of North Huntington; four grandchildren, Ryan Deitt, Bailey Cuccaro, Zoey Cuccaro Evans, and Rowan Cuccaro Perkins; a step-granddaughter, Paige Geldrich; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, Keith D. Baughman; and a brother, David Coe.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, in The Church of the Covenant, 267 East Beau Street, Washington. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
