Frank A. Prince Sr.
Frank A. Prince Sr., 84, passed away peacefully Monday, July 4, 2022, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Fla., following an extended illness.
Frank was born June 29, 1938, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Gabor and Mary Betari Prince.
He was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
In October of 1959, he married Ruth E. Rakar, who survives.
Also surviving are son, Frank A. Prince Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; and daughter, Deborah Prince of LaJolla, Calif.; two sisters, Bernadette Monkewicz of Canonsburg, and Darla Oliastro of North Strabane; grandchildren, Frank A. Prince III, Abigail Prince Capoccia, Tyler Zito and Katelyn Zito; along with 15 nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and Gabriel Prince; and sisters, Mary Kovalovsky and Donna Lochner.
Frank lived most of his life in Canonsburg and worked as a purchasing manager for Hankison before retiring to Sarasota.
He was an avid golfer who shared his interest and talents with many.
A private interment with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery.
