Eleanor H. Welsh
Eleanor H. Welsh, 95, of Houston, formerly of Hickory, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, in her home.
She was born September 15, 1926, in Chartiers Township, a daughter of Charles and Mildred Davidson Hamilton.
Mrs. Welsh was a 1944 graduate of Chartiers High School and was a lifelong member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Houston.
Eleanor was a member of the Millers Run Church Cemetery Association Board and the former Millers Run Grange.
She enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of her flowers, vegetable gardening, cooking and dogs.
On February 25, 1950, she married William P. Welsh, who passed away May 24, 2019.
Surviving are three children, Rebecca Hough of Houston, Jeffrey Welsh and his wife, Debra of Bethel Park and Julie Lesko and her husband, Denny of Crossville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Flavell (Gary), David Hough (Jennifer), Emily Smoller (David) and Robert Welsh; and five great-grandchildren, Luke Flavell, Lindsey and Logan Hough, and Grayson and Maxim Smoller.
Deceased are two sisters, Dorothy Hamilton and Gail Ely; and a brother, Charles Hamilton Jr.
At the request of the deceased, all services are private.
