Lois Peacock Morton
Lois Peacock Morton, 95, of Washington, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2022, in her home, with her two sons at her side.
She was born March 12, 1927, in Carnegie, a daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Peacock.
In 1945 she graduated from Washington High School.
On October 20, 1957, she married Stanley Francis Morton Jr. and had a very happy marriage until Stan’s passing in 1988.
She was a member of the Church of the Covenant, an avid bridge player, loved musicals and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her sons, Scott Morton and Paul Morton, and daughter-in-law, Zuli Morton; three grandchildren (oldest to youngest), Eileen (Eric) Welter, David (Candice) Colon and Joel Morton formerly Haylee; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Louise Welter and Lillian Denise Welter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth; and granddaughter, Casey.
Services are private.
