Terry Wayne Frantz, 73, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Monday, July 25, 2022, in Donnell House, Washington, with his family by his side. He was born December 22, 1948, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Bernard and Jane Gallagher Frantz.

Raised in Houston, Terry was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston Senior High School, where he still holds the record for discus throwing.

He proudly served in the second division of the United States Marine Corps as a corporal in Viet Nam.

Terry had been employed with Fraizer-Simplex, Jessop Steel, McGraw Edison and prior to his retirement in 2011 was a machinist with Trinity Industries.

He lived in the Canonsburg Houston area his entire life and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 of Canonsburg, the American Legion Post 902 of Houston, the White Eagles Society, the Polish National Union of Canonsburg and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Andover, Ohio.

Terry enjoyed wintering in Florida and spending time at Holiday Camplands in Andover, fishing and playing some golf with his beloved companion of 34 years, Joyce Lipari, who survives.

Also left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Rebecca Frantz Dolanch and her husband, Hunter, of Claysville; Joyce’s son, “PJ” Lipari and his wife, Deyka, of Canonsburg; his brother, Rick Frantz and his wife, Sharon, of Houston; his dear grandchildren, Madison, Abigail, Gabriella and Brantley Dolanch, Dayja and Justin Lipari; his brother-in-law, Larry Scears of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is his sister, Nancy Frantz.

At Terry’s request, there will be no public visitation or services. Private interment, with full military honors by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corps, will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
