Carol Sue Grossek Shaw
Carol Sue Grossek Shaw, 68, of Cecil, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022, in Washington Hospital.
She was born March 3, 1954, in Washington, a daughter of the late Henry Grossek Sr. and Ethel Kraynak Grossek.
She attended St. Michaels Church and Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching TV and going to the casino. She had a passion for gardening and spending time with family.
She worked for 20 years as a card dealer for casinos in New Jersey.
Surviving are son, Patrick (Danielle) Shaw of Downingtown; mother, Ethel Grossek; two brothers, Henry A. Grossek Jr. and Bill Grossek, both of Cecil; sister, Pam (Adam) Holtz of Stow, Ohio; nephews and godsons, Ryan Grossek of Boiling Springs, N.C., and Jonathan Holtz of Stow; nephew, Dillon Holtz of Stow; and niece, Raven Grossek of Charlotte, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry A. Grossek Sr., in 2005; and husband, Barry Shaw, in 2018.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m., the time of services, with Father Ken Shaw, Friday, July 29, at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cecil, at a later date.
