Jeffrey L. Iams

Jeffrey L. Iams, 71, of Leechburg, passed away, peacefully, Thursday, July 28, 2022, in his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous, long-term battle with cancer. He was born October 27, 1950, in Waynesburg, to the late Clyde and Doris Hicks Iams.

Jeff worked in multiple positions with Dominion Gas, loved animals and was an avid outdoors person, who loved fishing, hunting and boating. He was dedicated to his children and grandchildren and loved spending time with his family.

Jeff is survived by his children, Joshua Jeffrey Iams and Rachel Lynn (Greg) Davenport; grandchildren, Austin and Evan Davenport, and Adelynn Baranowski; former wife, Carol Iams; brothers, Duane (Donna) Iams, Laverne (Carol Shriver) Iams; brother-in-law, Robert Brinker; cousin, Doug (Linda) Iams; and aunt, Evelyn Walker; along with numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Koda.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Brinker.

Friends will be received from 12 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, in Bash-Nied-Jobe Funeral Home, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381), where a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, August 1, with Minister Frank C. Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export.
