Mary C. DiVincenzo
Mary C. “Aunt Mary” “Aunt Sis” “Nana” DiVincenzo, 101, formerly of Washington, passed peacefully Saturday, July 2, 2022. She was born August 17, 1920, in Philadelphia, a daughter of Russell and Emma Hays. She had four brothers, who preceded her in death.
After high school, she worked as a bookkeeper for a window manufacturer.
In 1968, she married Dominick DiVincenzo of Washington, where she lived for many years.
Mary was very involved with her community. She volunteered at the Washington Senior Center packing food for Meals on Wheels.
Mary was a bookkeeper for the local optometry office finally retiring in her late 80’s with Dr. Rozycki.
She was a member of St. Hilary Church and an active member of the Catholic Daughters at Immaculate Conception Church. She was a faithful and positive lady, who enjoyed dancing and volunteering. She had the best witty comebacks and most importantly, she loved spending time with her lady friends and family.
Mary moved to Ohio with her niece for many years then eventually to Florida with her grandchildren, where she lived out her final years.
She is survived by numerous family from her Hays roots to her DiVincenzo family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, in Saint Hilary Church, 320 Henderson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
