Myrtle Belle Matheson, 98, of California, Pa., died Saturday, June 11, 2022.

She was born Thursday, August 2, 1923, in Adamsburg, daughter of the late Curtis and Eva Kelly Kerns.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of California.

In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Matheson Jr.; granddaughter, Ashley Evans; son-in-law, Will Evans; and two brothers, James and William Kerns.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Bonnie Evans, and William Matheson and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Bethany Tobias and husband Chris, Duncan Evans, and Hannah Matheson (James Harris), all of California.

Friends will be received for a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 in the California United Methodist Church. Reverend Dawn Hargraves will officiate.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA.
