Michael “Steeler Mike” H. Hull, 67, of Washington, went to be with his Lord Thursday, June 23, 2022. He was born June 19, 1955, in Washington, a son of the late Delories E. Hull.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his wife of 20 years, Joy Hull; one son, Anthony M. Hull (Cindy); one daughter, Jasmine N. Graber (Joshua); stepdaughter, Shellie (Shawn) Henderson; two stepsons, Bryan and Shawn Grassel; siblings, Phillipp R. Hull of Warner Springs, Calif., Aaron L. (Tracey) Hull of Akron, Richard T. Hull of Altoona, Mitchell R. Hull of Dallas, Texas, Jon’a Jacobs Holly of North Carolina and Candie and his stepsister, Janet. He is also survived by his grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally, Summer and Anthony Hull, Zander and Jaxson Henderson, Ivy and Forest Grassel, and Clyde Johnson. Mike also enjoyed spending time with some of his closest friends, James (June) Allen, Robert (Braymore) Anderson, Benny Watson, Johnny Baker and Darrell Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Olivia and Lisa.

Mike attended Washington High and was a wrestler there for four years. He had a love for bodybuilding since the age of 11. He belonged to OCB Natural Building Association. He competed in many competitions for body building while receiving many awards and numerous trophies.

Early in life, Mike accepted Christ and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, serving as a trustee.

Brockway Glass company was one of his first jobs. As a program specialist, Michael worked for Mel Blount Youth Home for many years. He attended Triangle Tech and got certified for ACT 235. Mike worked hard all his life, but he enjoyed volunteering at the Lemoyne Center with the children the most.

His hobbies included fishing and cooking, but he most importantly enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren. Mike was an avid Steeler fan and loved collecting Steeler memorabilia, hence the nickname “Steeler Mike.”

Two memorial services will be held. The first service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, in Friendship Baptist Church, Washington. The second memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. July 2, at Driscoll Park, 565 Locust Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
