McCleese June Whiteman Tustin
McCleese “Cleesy” June Whiteman Tustin, of Rutan, passed away the morning of Monday, June 27, 2022, in Cloverdale Personal Care Home, Masontown, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease.
She was born June 2, 1924, to William Alton and Edna Rae Price Whiteman.
Cleesy graduated from West Alexander High School in 1952. She married Joseph Franklin “Frank” Tustin January 8, 1956, and they were happily married for 58 years until his passing May 20, 2014.
Cleesy was a resident of Greene County for most of her married life and was a member of and pianist for Beulah Baptist Church, outside of Nineveh.
Cleesy is survived by her three children, Jan (Denny) Teagarden of Carmichaels, Debbie Tustin of Waynesburg, Tim Tustin of Rutan; two grandchildren, Denny (Miesha) Teagarden and Jason Teagarden, both of Carmichaels.
In addition to her husband and parents, Cleesy was preceded in death by sons, Patrick and Dale Lynn Tustin, who died in infancy; and sister, Lolita, who also died in infancy.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be most grateful if you would share a copy of a family picture since Cleesy’s house burnt down in June of 2021 and precious memories were lost.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Thursday, June 30, with Rev. Dr. Harry Hill officiating, in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359, telephone 724-499-5181. Burial is private.
