Brenda S. Stoneking Hughes
Brenda S. Stoneking Hughes, 58, of Holbrook, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, in her home with her loving family by her side.
Brenda was born May 5, 1963, in Lima, Ohio, to James (Marsha) Stoneking and the late Lena Bell Stoneking.
At 16 she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth W. Hughes, on January 28, 1980.
Brenda was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in East View, and a member of the Deeper Still organization, helping heal abortion wounded hearts.
She put God first and family second in every life scenario. She had a heart for ministry and her love for Jesus was contagious to every person she met.
She raised her kids and their friends in church. Her reach goes far beyond what she could see. Brenda was a devoted housewife and mother, sure to make every day in her home a special one.
She loved to vacation, whether a simple weekend camping trip or a week cruise in the Caribbean. She was always the life of the party!
Brenda was the best friend to her husband and all three daughters. When they called, she came. She spent several days, sick herself, in hospitals with grandkids, on trips to Disney World, Boston and Philadelphia, or just having family days in one of their homes – always with food!
In addition to her husband and father, Brenda leaves behind three daughters: Nina (Bill) Crowe, of Carmichaels, Alisha (Jeremiah) Kiger, of Holbrook, and Kasandra (Taylor) Knowles, of Cheat Lake, W.Va.; grandchildren, Dakota Crowe, Emma Crowe, Micah Crowe, Brooke Knowles, Audrey Kiger, Raeleigh Crowe, Nathan Knowles, and Chase Knowles; siblings, Randy (Maureen) Stoneking, of Spraggs, Dan (Jodie) Stoneking, of Waynesburg, and Malinda (Duck) John, of Holbrook; also several nieces and nephews.
