Leonard R. Hribar, 96, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022. He was born April 25, 1925, the youngest child of the late Francis and Anna Schaper Hribar.
Leonard was a hard-working family man, who enjoyed playing cards. He retired from Columbia-Teledyne Steel, but continued to work his scrap business until he was 94 years old. He was an Oakdale volunteer fireman since 1942.
He is survived by his children, Lenora, Leonard (Madge), Lennette (Ray) Chambers, John (Debbie), Rose, Elizabeth, Sue, Emma Madaras and Minnie (Curt) White; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as multiple nieces and nephews and many friends.
Along with his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Twyla; his daughter, Twyla Marie; Courtney Dobbins and all of his siblings.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 14, in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 5000 Noblestown Road, Oakdale (724-693-2800). A second viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Noblestown. Interment will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
