Jane Marie Scholar, 91, of Bridgeville, passed, Friday, March 11, 2022.
She was born June 22, 1930, in Bridgeville, a daughter of Joseph S. and Catherine Staborsky Walnoha.
Mrs. Scholar was a graduate of Clark High School in Scott Township. She worked as a LPN for Kane Hospital in Scott. She also was a private nanny for many years.
Jane loved dogs, cats, and other animals; she enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping, spending time with her cottage family in Tidioute, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Heather Krocker of Canonsburg; a sister, Carol Ann Walnoha of Bridgeville; three grandchildren, Erik A. (Jessica) Krocker, Shane J. (Mary) Krocker of Cuddy, and Dustin M. (Amanda) Krocker of McDonald; eight great-grandchildren, Cassie, Erik, Alexander, Travis, Emily, Brantley, Jameson and Lennon Krocker; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Deceased are two husbands, Henry Krocker, and Frank Scholar; a son, John Henry Krocker; and a brother, Joseph “Sonny” (Lydia) Walnoha.
A memorial gathering will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, PA 15057. A Blessing service will follow the memorial gathering at 6 p.m.
