Eldon “Whitey” Hull, 85, of Washington, died Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

He was born March 3, 1937, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Harold and Opal Campbell Hull.

A proud veteran, Mr. Hull served in the Army (1955-1958) in Alaska and in the Marines (1960-1964) in Hawaii.

He was a member of Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175 and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Washington.

Mr. Hull’s passion was fishing.

He did concrete work prior to becoming employed as a custodian at Trinity Area School District, from where he retired.

On July 13, 1998, he married Blanche “Babe” Keener Sprowls, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Travis Hull of Washington and Russell Hull of New Jersey; two daughters, Kimberly Hull of Washington and Connie Hull of Prosperity; two stepchildren, Randy (Lori) Sprowls of Burgettstown and Lori Ann Sprowls of Marianna; a brother, Donald (Pat) Hull of Washington; grandchildren, Bobby Gray, Kenny Gray, Amanda Gray (Kory) Knable, Randi Sprowls, April Sprowls (Tony) Costello, Ashley Sprowls (Jesse) Kadrmas, Sara Sprowls (Tim) Carroll, Charlie (Lauren) Sprowls, as well as several additional grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, Marlin Hull; and a sister, Jewel Earnest.

All services will be private.

Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
