Julius A. Quinn
Julius A. Quinn Jr, 76, of Centerville Boro (Low Hill), passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born June 17, 1945, in West Elizabeth, a son of the late Julius A. and Treva Hustead Quinn Sr.
Mr. Quinn was a Vietnam War veteran, serving two tours of duty in Da Nang and Chu Li, with the U.S. Navy Seabees.
After leaving the Navy in 1967, Julius was hired as a Pattern Maker at Combustion Engineering in Monongahela, where he worked until the plant closing in 1987.
He retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of First Sergeant, as well as a civilian position within the Army.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann; a son, Julian, both of Low Hill; a sister, Janet Leyland of Elizabeth Township; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Quinn was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan; and two brothers, Charles and Peter.
Mary Ann and Julian would like to send heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Centerville, for the years of wonderful care as well as to the first responders that have helped Julius throughout the years.
All arrangements are private, and under the direction of the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, Pa.
Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military rites accorded.
