Tosca Affinito
Tosca Affinito, 100, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Friday, March 25, 2022, in North Strabane Rehabilitation and Wellness, Canonsburg. She was born December 14, 1921, in Monongahela, a daughter of the late Gino and Nicolina Macconi.
Tosca was a 1939 graduate of Monongahela High School. She was a terrific cook and enjoyed sewing and being a homemaker and caring for her family. She led a simple life, enjoying spending time with her family and friends. Tosca celebrated her 100th birthday in December; she was the last of her immediate family.
On July 26, 1941, she married James J. Affinito, who passed away March 22, 1999.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Norman (Darla) Affinito of Canonsburg; daughter-in-law, Karen Affinito; grandchildren, Toni (Scott) Heinen, Blake (Jackie) Affinito and Alysa (Craig) McCann; and great-grandchildren, Ayden, Sydney and Emylia Heinen.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are her son, Ronald Affinito; granddaughter, Shawna Affinito; and sister, Ada Falappi.
Friends and family are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of a blessing service, Tuesday, March 29, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner / supervisor, Erin E. Jones LFD, 304 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
