Ann Casimir Hall Haines, 87, died Monday, October 31, 2022, in the Washington Presbyterian Home, after a long illness.

Mrs. Haines was born March 30, 1935, a daughter of the late Charles and Alice Markey Hall of Washington.

Mrs. Haines was a 1953 Washington High School graduate and took graduate management courses at Penn State. She married her husband John “Jed” Haines June 1, 1957.

Mrs. Haines was head of the Peters Township School District’s food service department for much of the 1980s and 1990s, an achievement of which she was very proud.

She was devoted to her large extended family in the Pittsburgh area and beyond.

Surviving are her husband, John “Jed” Haines of McMurray; son, Terry (Laura); and grandchildren, Madeleine “Maddie” and John “Jack,” of Alexandria, Va.; brothers, James (Cherie) of West Mifflin and Richard (Margaret) of Lititz; sister-in-law, Rose Bonazza Hall of Canonsburg; brother-in-law, Robert Haines and sister-in-law Marie (Monsour) Haines of Greensburg; and many members of her large and beloved extended family. Predeceasing her were older brother, John and younger sister, Frances.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, November 4, at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 9:30 a.m. at St Benedict the Abbot Catholic Church of St John XXIII Parish, 120 Abington Drive, McMurray. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, will be private.
