Kenneth Gray Willis
Kenneth Gray Willis, 64, of Port Vue, departed this life Saturday, October 29, 2022, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born December 12, 1957, in Waynesburg, a son of Betty Gipson and the late Martin Willis, Sr.
Ken, or Kenny as everyone called him, with the exception of his loving and devoted wife, Robin, who always called him Kenneth, graduated with honors from Southeastern High School in Detroit, Mich., in 1975.
After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served two years before being honorably discharged.
He attended Penn Commercial, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting.
He worked for Drakenfield Corporation for several years, prior to his current employment at Ensinger Incorporated, where he worked as an accountant for the past 25 years.
He loved watching movies, enjoyed going to jazz festivals, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed playing his bass guitar, he LOVED chicken no matter how it was cooked, and his favorite pastime of all was burning up spareribs on the grill, but most of all he LOVED HIS FAMILY!!
Kenneth is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Robin; his children, Daphney Willis, Samuel Blevins, Tyler and Israel Melvin; six grandchildren; his beloved mother, Betty (Zebie) Gipson; and his siblings: his best friend and twin brother, Kevin (Sandra) Willis, Ava (Eric) Smith, Delores Davis, Martin Willis Jr., Hosea (Michelle) Willis, Aaron (Melinda) Gipson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of a service, Saturday, November 5, in Friendship Baptist Church, 17 East Walnut Street, Washington, PA 15301, with Pastor Rev. Dr. Melvin Rippy and Pastor Edwin Davis, eulogist. Interment will be at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
