Betty M. Watson
Betty M. Watson, 88, of Claysville, died Monday, October 31, 2022, in Washington Hospital.
She was born March 14, 1934, in Washington, a daughter of the late William and Leanna Ealy Jackson.
A graduate of Claysville High School, she was a homemaker.
Betty loved doing word search puzzles, mowing the lawn, and cooking. She especially loved spending time with friends and family and was affectionately known as “Granny Grouch.”
On February 14, 1953, Betty married Andrew Watson, who died November 11, 1970.
Surviving are sons, Gary Watson and Darrell Watson; daughters, Diane Anderson and Robin Watson; grandchildren, Bobbi (Steve) Gudac and Tiffany (Ryan) McConnell; and great-grandchildren, Dalton, Tori, Landon, Carys, Campbell and Kenneth; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford, Kenneth and Wayne Jackson; sisters, Elma Ashmore, Wilma Frye, Georgia Jackson, Ruby Johnson; and son-in-law, Robert Anderson.
Friends and family will be received from 12 to 2 and 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, November 7, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, with Pastor Mike Singo officiating.
Interment to follow in Claysville Cemetery.
