Judith Harris
Judith “Judy” Harris, 80, of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Washington, died Sunday, October 9, 2022, in Sun City Center.
She was born October 27, 1941, in Washington, a daughter of the late Russell S. and Mary Jane Moore Rush.
Judy worked as an office manager at Washington Internal Medicine for over 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of the PA Society of Medical Assistants.
Judy enjoyed music of all genres; loved to dance, gardening, camping, swimming, going to the beach and traveling, and was a master seamstress. Above all else, spending time with her family and friends was her top priority. Judy will be remembered for her megawatt smile, her infectious laugh and personality.
On April 23, 1957, in Washington, she married the love of her life, Joseph C. Harris, who died in 2003.
Surviving are a son, William S. (Natalya) Harris of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Christine (Larry) Crowe of Washington, Susan (Steven) Wolf of Washington, and Judy P. (Bill Olney) Harris of Apollo Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Justin B. (Courtney) Crowe, Ashleigh (Josh) Deyell, Matthew (Sayaka) Relich, and Nicholas (Hannah) Relich, Jason Harris and Joshua Harris; and two stepgrandchildren, David Wolf and Andrew Wolf; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, William Rush.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5:30 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Thursday, November 10, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Directors, Inc., Charles R. Piatt, owner/supervisor, Andrew C. Piatt, director.
