Lynn E. Stollar
Lynn E. Stollar, 82, of Washington, passed away, Thursday, November 10, 2022, in Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born January 18, 1940, in Washington, a son of the late Glenn and Pearl Carson Stollar.
Mr. Stollar was a 1957 graduate of Claysville High School.
Lynn had worked for the former Forbes Steel in Canonsburg for over 30 years and retired in 2003 from Chartiers Township where he worked in the Road Department.
He served with the US Army from January 1962 until January 1964.
Lynn enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the 20 Pines Hunting and Fishing Club in Center County.
On April 4, 1963, he married Joanna Folkens who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sherry Nichols (Scott) of Pensacola, Fla.; two sons, Ronald Stollar (Tammy) of Houston and Steven Stollar (Tonia) of Senoia, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Brandon Nichols (Ashley), Brittany Nichols, Cassidy and Zachary Stollar, Meagan Garcia (Alan), Clarrissa Adkins (Josh) and Chelsea Stollar; seven great- grandchildren, Savannah Weis, Isabella Ruiz-Stollar and Emily, Avery, Hannah, Mateo and James Garcia; a brother, William Stollar (Nancy) of Washington; two sisters, Edna Nash (George) of Cumming, Ga. and Helga Clark (the late Robert) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.
A son, John Stollar died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Monday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 15. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Garden, McMurray.
